​Only a few people who work on the study ever see any personal information and GSS survey data is protected by a Certificate of Confidentiality from the National Institutes of Health. This means that your answers will be kept confidential, even if researchers receive a court order or subpoena to release information that could identify you. Answers that could identify you in any way are separated from your other answers, and all findings are reported as averages and percentages. No names or other identifying information are ever published.
